Keltruck’s charity donations redoubled after pandemic

News

Keltruck’s charity donations have given a boost to a number of deserving causes in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The independent Scania distribute has redoubled its donations to help even more important causes recover from Covid-19.

Therefore, the latest round of staff consultation has seen a larger amount of support via Keltruck’s Charities Aid Foundation account.

In addition, contributions have been given to more registered charities than ever before from the Keltruck account.

“Business is about being an active part of the community and supporting our people,” said Keltruck chairman, Chris Kelly.

“Being an active participant within the communities we work in involves us identifying key local charities to work with and support.

Furthermore, Kelly said he was delighted with the response from staff in the Midlands and South Wales in the most recent call for charity nominations.

“We have been overwhelmed with the touching messages of thanks from the charities we are fortunate to have been able to support.”

Continuing, Kelly said directors and management recently worked together to identify Keltrucks’ core values.

Specifically, these were defined as: caring; integrity; professionalism and dependability.

“Profit with a purpose and charitable giving are therefore absolutely integral to our ethos as a company,” he said.

Among the recipients of Keltruck’s charity donations were: The Way Wolverhampton Youth Zone; bliss.org.uk and Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal

In addition, various cancer charities were given aid, including Velindre Cancer Centre, Cancer Research Wales, Testicular cancer UK and Bowel Cancer UK.

Finally, other charities to benefit were Tŷ Hafan, St Michael’s Hospice, Hereford, Shelter UK, Dementia UK and NHS Charities Together.
